Welcome to the Warrior Gateway
The Warrior Gateway is an easy-to-use portal that connects members of the military community with the resources they need in their transition to civilian life. We are a non-profit entity and operate at no cost to the community.
The Warrior Gateway is currently in "Public Beta" release, which includes limited functionality within two main sections. First, the Warrior Gateway Directory is a robust database that allows members of the military community to search for service providers (nonprofits, government programs, etc.) near them. Our current beta states contained in the database are Georgia, North Carolina, and Texas [more to come as we expand our pilot].
Second, Warrior Gateway Careers is a career exploration engine that allows users to input their military skills and personal aptitudes and translate them into careers in the civilian sector that fit their talents and interests. Warrior Gateway Careers also has a job board, so users can directly explore current job opportunities within their recommended career paths by employers specifically looking for the unique skills they can provide.

The Warrior Gateway Project was created to address multiple needs. The project responds to (1) public statements made by Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, calling for a national clearinghouse of resources for wounded veterans (source); and (2) a memorandum of understanding between the Department of Veteran Affairs and the Veterans Coalition to track the explosive growth of service providers [NGO’s] available to the military community and to help drive improvement in that sector. The Warrior Gateway is that solution.
The Warrior Gateway's fundamental strategy is to bring together the relevant information from around the web and our strategic partners to help our military community. This is accomplished through the combination of many resources and useful tools into an online portal to directly serve those needs.
