Welcome to the Warrior Gateway

The Warrior Gateway is an easy-to-use portal that connects members of the military community with the resources they need in their transition to civilian life. We are a non-profit entity and operate at no cost to the community.

The Warrior Gateway is currently in "Public Beta" release, which includes limited functionality within two main sections. First, the Warrior Gateway Directory is a robust database that allows members of the military community to search for service providers (nonprofits, government programs, etc.) near them. Our current beta states contained in the database are Georgia, North Carolina, and Texas [more to come as we expand our pilot].

Second, Warrior Gateway Careers is a career exploration engine that allows users to input their military skills and personal aptitudes and translate them into careers in the civilian sector that fit their talents and interests. Warrior Gateway Careers also has a job board, so users can directly explore current job opportunities within their recommended career paths by employers specifically looking for the unique skills they can provide.

Warrior Gateway Directory

The Directory is a search engine which allows individuals to easily find the service providers they need. Users can enter their geographical location and the type of service they are seeking (from PTSD counseling to educational assistance to physical therapy), plus a number of other parameters (such as specifying non-profits or governmental programs), and the Warrior Gateway Directory will quickly return a list of results that match the user's criteria. The Directory also allows the community to rate and review these service providers, which in turn provides useful information about existing service providers to Warrior Gateway users.

Warrior Gateway Careers

The Careers section will consist of two main services: a career exploration engine and a job posting board. The career exploration engine will provide a way to help exiting military and veterans determine the best jobs or careers for them and guide them through the best way to get those jobs. Warrior Gateway Careers will allow users to input their military experience (via their Army MOS, Navy Enlisted Classifications, Air Force Specialty Codes, or other similar classifications), as well as their skills, educational background, and personal preferences. The career exploration engine will then be used to generate a listing of career paths and specific jobs matched specifically to that user. From there, the user can learn about what various jobs and careers entail, as well as economic forecasts of the growth rate in various industries and jobs. Finally, Warrior Gateway Careers will provide information on the educational requirements for each job, as well as direct links to academic institutions in the user's area that offer those educational requirements.
